Wetland Installation

When the Port of Ridgefield revamped the boat launch in downtown Ridgefield, they discovered that the riverbank of Lake River had become overgrown with blackberries. Kyne Landscaping removed the invasive species while conforming to strict environmental standards in order to work inside a watershed. We then planted an assortment of drought tolerant native plants and grasses to restore the bank to a sustainable wetland habitat.

We have also installed a variety of residential and commercial wetland plantings and buffers. A recent project for a local developer included installing native plantings, a specific grass seed mix, downed woody debris and houses for tree swallows. To ensure maximum environmental integration and sustainability, we worked closely with county wetland biologists to be sure everything was installed to their satisfaction.
